Add your Resource to the Hub!

Welcome to the Resource Hub!

The Resource Hub houses faculty development resources related to multiple topics of interest in health professions education. It is developed in collaboration and consultation with other Centres, departments, and organizations across the University of Toronto and the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network.

The Resource Hub is adaptable and dynamic, continually curating resources based on emerging needs and best evidence. It is a community-wide effort and we draw on the collective expertise and engagement of our healthcare and education communities to mobilize knowledge and to vitalize the hub through ongoing curation.

Teaching

The Teaching section houses resources that outline best practices and key considerations in designing and teaching online and in-person curricula, paradigms and theories of education, assessment and evaluation of leaners, and more.  These resources cross different contexts (clinical, classroom, laboratory) different learner populations and different professions. Please click on the sub-category buttons above to access articles, tip sheets, guides, videos, and websites.

Leadership

The Leadership section houses resources that cover vital topics including Academic Leadership, Change Management, Graduate Supervision, Mentorship and Coaching, and Promotions and Teaching Dossiers.  These resources are intended to support both formal and informal leadership activities in the academic health sciences as well as career development for all health professions across the career span.

Scholarship

This section houses resources that will support our community on their education scholarship journeys. Scholarship is a broad concept that can include a wide range of activities that involve ongoing pursuit of knowledge, and its application to positive professional and collective growth. Though there is debate about what constitutes scholarship, our goal in this section is to highlight the breadth in the types of activity or inquiry that can fall under the scholarship umbrella.

Advocacy

The advocacy section provides resources focused on advocacy for the self and system.  We include many resources that cover core concepts of Anti-Oppression, Accessibility, Wellness, Professional Values, and Safety. We also include a number of resources to help you understand the ways in which these core concepts show up in the world and in our workplaces and resources that help you take action at personal, interpersonal, institutional and societal levels.
